This is a special treat. The Ceretto 2019 Barbaresco Asili (made with organic fruit) shows a tight or linear quality that is specific to this growing site. Aromas of dark fruit, blood orange and pencil shaving are even more pinpoint and focused in this beautiful vintage. This is a wine of enormous depth and length.

The 2019 Barbaresco Asili is ample, creamy and resonant. All the signatures of this site come through in a Barbaresco of breadth and resonance. Even so, the 2019 remains light on its feet. There is plenty of depth and persistence, but it is expressed in more of an understated manner. It's a beautiful wine.

Aromas of blue flower, woodland berry, forest floor and spice shape the nose. The taut, rather austere palate is less expressive, exhibiting dried cherry, hazelnut and vanilla alongside grainy tannins that leave a firm, drying finish. Give it several years to unwind then drink sooner rather than later.
