A new wine in this range, the 2021 Grenache Dorigo Family Vineyard emerges from a site in Ballard Canyon. Rich, heady and explosive, the 2021 possesses notable depth and another level of textural flavor intensity relative to the other wines in the range. Dark fruit, lavender, menthol and licorice are all nicely amplified. This is a jewel of a wine.

Coming from Ballard Canyon, the 2021 Grenache Dorigo Family Vineyard has a healthy darker ruby hue as well as attractive notes of ripe blackberries, black cherries, leafy herbs, and earth. As with the Besson Vineyard, it has plenty of structure and tannin, good balance, and outstanding length. It too needs a year in bottle.
