The 2020 Zinfandel Schmiedt Road is rich and maybe a bit more generous than it usually is, but that just adds to its immediacy. RIch, heady Zinfandel flavors scream out of the glass in this wonderfully expressive and inviting 2020 from Bedrock. There is a bit of Carignan, Mission, and Flame Tokay in the blend, but Zinfandel carries the wines. As always, the Schmiedt Road is a blend taken from Katushas and Kirschenmann.

A bit of a bruiser, this packs potent blackberry, sweet anise and smoked pepper flavors that build toward broad-shouldered tannins. Best from 2023 through 2030. 250 cases made.
