The 2017 Morey Saint-Denis Clos Solon is a hugely promising village-level wine. Black cherry, plum, lavender, spice and menthol all run through this deep, resonant Burgundy, but it is really the wine's precision and overall nuance that leave the deepest impression. The Clos Solon was done with fully destemmed fruit. There is a level of purity to the 2017 that is remarkable.
