A blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Merlot Estate rolls out of the glass with notions of stewed plums, baked blackberries and bay leaves plus touches of Christmas pudding, hoisin and dusty soil. The medium to full-bodied palate has a lively line of acidity and chewy texture supporting the dried berries flavors, finishing a little lifted.
