The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva comes across as dark, heavy and oxidized. Molasses, burnt sugar and black fruit emerge over time, not exactly the flavors one expects in a top-flight Riserva from a great vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2017.
