Appearance: This wine has a deep garnet color with crimson hues. Aroma: Complex aromas of cherries, raisins, dried flowers, smoky vanilla, and cigar box are apparent on the nose while flavors of red fruits and sweet spices abound on the palate. Mouth Feel: This is a rich, full-bodied wine with velvety soft tannins and balanced acidity and a long, appealing finish. Food Pairing: This wine is best paired with dishes with powerful flavors. Beef, lamb, veal, rabbit and pheasant all wonderfully marry with the deep flavors of this wine. Dishes with wild mushrooms and truffles such as risottos are wonderful companions as well as the deep flavors complement one another beautifully.

Lots of fresh roses and dried strawberries. Full-bodied and powerful with lots of tannins, yet they are fine and polished. Excellent length. A classic Barolo with the structure and beautiful freshness you expect for long term aging. Give it at least five to six years to come together. Try after 2028.

The Ceretto 2019 Barolo Bricco Rocche is made with organic fruit from Castiglione Falletto, one of the villages that performs best, generally speaking, and specifically in this classic vintage. The bouquet is layered and rich with ripe cherry and crème de cassis. There are savory tones of iron ore and grilled herb. It offers a silky mouthfeel with elegant mineral nuances. Overall, this wine shows impeccable precision and beautiful definition. This is one for your cellar.

The 2020 Barolo Bricco Rocche is powerful, tannic and quite closed. This embryonic Barolo is going to need time to come together, as it is quite reticent today. It show darker fruit, energy and more body that the Rocche di Castiglione. Scorched earth, leather, spice and crushed flowers linger on the driving finish.
