Available for:
Dark ruby red with purple disc. On the nose, toasty and smoky notes, slightly reminiscent of tobacco and leather, evolving with aeration into blackcurrant liqueur aromas. The palate is dense, rich with intense black fruit. Ripe, spicy and flavourful tannins on the finish.

The 2016 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru is still quite youthfully reticent, unwinding in the glass to reveal a rich bouquet of ripe cherries, cassis and blood orange that's complemented by enticing carnal hints of grilled and smoked meats. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and velvety, with a succulent but gourmand core of fruit that entirely cloaks its broad-shouldered chassis of powdery structuring tannins, concluding with a long, nicely defined finish. There's sufficient extract here, so this Bressandes may well shut down; a decade's patience is advised.

A broad, lush red, whose core of black cherry fruit is supported by earth, spice and woodsy, vegetal flavors. Lacks the complexity or length of its peers, but satisfying nonetheless. Best from 2022 through 2033. 30 cases imported.

The 2017 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru contains 40% whole bunches and matures in around 50% new oak. It has quite an elegant bouquet with black cherries, raspberry coulis and flecks of dark chocolate, the oak neatly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, more masculine than the aromatics suggest, with a saline/briny finish that I personally find attractive. Very fine.
