The Vigne Marina Coppi 2016 Colli Tortonesi Timorasso Fausto (with 6,466 bottles produced) shows those chalky, mineral notes that are so characteristic in young Timorasso. They are impossible to miss and deal a distinct fingerprint to this bottle. Indeed, the fruit tones pale in comparison, although you do get ample citrus and white peach at the back. This is a lean white wine right now, but it has the texture, weight and glycerin to go the long haul. To best appreciate this wine, you need to put it aside in your cellar for another few years. Timorasso has an incredible capacity to evolve and flesh out with bottle age.
