The 2017 Cotes du Rhone Villages Inopia kicks off with scents of crushed stone, cedar shavings and leather, but gradually adds notes of tart cherries on the nose. It's full-bodied and generous on the palate, while at the same time not being overly rich or weighty, delivering a lacy weave of red fruit and spice that fades just a bit quickly on the finish.
