This explosive red comes from mostly Mencía with Domingo Pérez (Trousseau), Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouschet) and Caiño grown on vineyards planted in 1950 (Vilanova) and 1972 (Rumiños). Whole cluster fermentation in large oak vats. 30-day maceration followed by one year of aging in 1500-liter foudre and 500-liter neutral barrels. Bottled without fining or filtration.
