The new 2015 Blend Collection Malbec-Cabernet Franc - Petit Verdot, first produced in 2014, wants to be a blend with more complexity showing some fine minerality and tension, aiming for an accessible wine in the style of the more serious, mineral reds. It's 55% Malbec with 30% Cabernet Franc and 15% Petit Verdot. There are some roasted aromas, akin to very ripe skins that I usually associate with Petit Verdot and a core of red and black berries with some notes of ink and iron. The palate shows the freshness that I now find in the whole range I tasted, balanced, polished and easy to drink. 60,000 bottles produced.

A fruity red, with berry and cherry flavors that feature a snap of licorice. White pepper on the fresh finish. Drink now. 8,000 cases made.
