Blended from several sub-AVAs, including fruit from Calistoga, Oakville and Rutherford, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is a soft, approachable wine, marked by gentle leafiness and slightly lifted cherry fruit. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with hints of mint and an attractively dusty feel that lingers easily on the finish.

Opening with cherry and vanilla notes, this wine is high-toned and elegant in style, with thick tannin weight providing structure and definition. Blended with small amounts of Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot, it shows a wealth of dried herb, toasted oak and cassis as it builds.

Plush, with a toasty frame guiding a core of warmed plum and blackberry preserve notes, and a late tug of loam on the finish. Shows more heft than purity, but solidly built. Drink now through 2026. 1,995 cases made.
