Past vintages of this wine saw a little Syrah in the bend, but Gaetana Jacono's 2013 Sicilia Vittoria Tané is now a pure expression of Nero d'Avola. This is a dark, enriched and full-bodied red that is packed tight with black cherry, dried blackberry, spice, leather and exotic spice. With five years of aging since the harvest, this wine delivers a very impressive level of balanced intensity and soft inner richness. The wine's name, Tané, is Sicilian for the name Gaetana.
