The 2015 Moulin a Vent is matured in four- to five-year-old barrels and cement vats. It has a clean and precise bouquet: black cherries, cranberry leaf and a hint of Indian ink. The palate is well balanced with a supple, juicy opening of dark cherries, cola and a pinch of brown spice. I would have just liked to see a little more tension and detail show through on the finish, hence the more conservative score than I otherwise would have given.
