The Robert Craig Cabernet Sauvignon from Mount Veeder, California is known for its rich and robust flavor profile, characterized by dark fruit notes, subtle oak, and a touch of spice. The mountainous region contributes to the wine’s depth and complexity, enhancing its full-bodied character.
This versatile Cabernet pairs well with hearty dishes, making it an excellent choice alongside grilled steaks, roasted lamb, or rich pasta with marinara sauce. Additionally, it complements strong cheeses such as aged cheddar or blue cheese.

From a seven-acre site at 1,700 feet above sea level, Robert Craig's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Amentet Vineyard Mount Veeder features charming herbal overtones of sage and bay set against a deep core of cassis and blueberries. Incorporating 7% Cab Franc and splashes of both Malbec and Petit Verdot, this estate wine is medium- to full-bodied, silky, ripe and decently concentrated, with a lingering, supple finish. It's softer than you might expect from a mountain wine, but that's part of the house style. It should still drink well for close to two decades.
