The 2017 Alesia Chardonnay Anderson Valley has a nose of Bosc pear, red apples, stone, honeycomb and oodles of floral nuance with baker’s yeast and stone fruits. Light to medium-bodied, it's electric in the mouth with lovely fruit layers, tangy acidity and a long, minerally finish. Winemaker Jeff Brinkman says this wine used to be made from purchased fruit. "We no longer purchase any fruit," he explains, "It allows us to make stricter selections for our vineyard designates and make this less expensive wine that's more widely available."
