A blend of fruit from both the east- and west-facing slopes of Seneca Lake, planted to Dijon clones. After a week-long cold soak, the wine was fermented with a proportion of whole clusters in open-top fermenters and racked after four weeks into neutral casks and aged for 11 months. The result shows a restrained colour but exuberant aromas, with notes of cherry, violet and earth. Dry, fresh and balanced, this wine would repay some time in the cellar.
