The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 20 months in French oak, 80% new. Displaying a deep garnet-purple color, it roars out of the glass with powerful scents of baked blueberries, boysenberries and warm cassis plus hints of clove oil, tapenade, tar and new leather with a touch of Indian spices. Medium to full-bodied, the palate's poise and elegance somewhat belie the power suggested on the nose, albeit with beautiful, soft expressiveness and a long, refreshing finish. 161 cases were made.
