The most fruit-driven and approachable Chardonnay in the Peay portfolio, this appellation bottling is sourced almost entirely from the Peay estate, with a touch of fruit from Richardson Vineyard. It opens with aromas of white flowers, lemon cream, citrus peel, and a hint of ripe pear. The palate is quite generous but balanced by a citrusy freshness and a subtle saline snap. Fermented with native yeasts and aged 11 months on the lees in 20% new oak, it delivers just the right amount of texture without losing vibrancy. Friendly and refreshing. Only 450 cases produced.
The 2023 Chardonnay (West Sonoma Coast) is a classy, elegant wine. Pear, white flowers, white pepper, marzipan and a kiss of new oak all meld together effortlessly. Creamy and understated, with terrific balance, the 2023 has a lot to offer.
The 2023 Chardonnay West Sonoma Coast has inviting scents of yellow apple, meringue, toast and crème brûlée. The medium-bodied palate features expressive, spicy apple fruit and saline tones. It’s structured by bright acidity and has a long, energetic finish. 435 cases were made.
