"The ruby/magenta 2023 Pinot Noir Chehalem Mountain Vineyard is expressive and has a lovely wild touch with notes of sappy mountain herbs, sage oils, blackberries, fresh lavender, and wet stones. The palate is fantastic and medium to full-bodied, with ripe tannins and a long finish with notes of leather. It's a pleasure to drink now, but will only improve as it leans into its more umami and maitake tones. Drink 2025-2040."
The 2023 Pinot Noir Chehalem Mountain Vineyard is the last iteration of this single vineyard from Patricia Green Cellars. Matured in 17% new oak, it opens with flinty tones that give way to bramble fruit, black tea leaves and violet. The palate is bursting with nuanced, floral flavors. It’s framed by chalky tannins and vibrant acidity and has a long, fragrant finish.
