Sous Le Château is one of the most extensive lieux-dits in Saint Romain and extends up to 440 metres, which was why this cuvée was picked as late as September 14th. Taut, tight and very pithy for a vintage like 2018, this has a very low pH of 3.1, subtle gunflint aromas and aromatic 20% new wood. Franck Grux has a special touch in lesser-known sites like this.
