Precise, textural and long with aromas of dried thyme, cherries, forest berries, dried herbs and crushed black pepper. Itâs medium- to full-bodied with fine, firm tannins and fresh acidity. Lively and agile with a succulent core of sour cherries and white pepper at the center. A crushed stone character brings a mineral touch to it and onto the long, focused finish. Try after 2029.

The Oddero 2020 Barolo Villero has an interlude of sweet cherry and plump fruit, but then it veers toward tart fruit flavors followed by fine powdery tannins. Smoothness is a theme that continues throughout. It ages in large French oak casks and spends six months in cement vat to better integrate. Production is 6,000 bottles.
