MAURO MOLINO, BAROLO GALLINOTTO is a distinguished wine from the renowned Piedmont region of Italy. This Barolo exhibits a robust flavor profile characterized by notes of dark cherry, plum, and hints of earthy spices, all underscored by the region's signature tannins and acidity, providing a balanced finish.
This exceptional wine pairs well with rich dishes such as braised meats, hearty stews, and roasted game. It also complements aged cheeses and truffle risotto, enhancing the dining experience with its depth and complexity.
From a section within Berri that has a pocket of warmth balanced by the cooling mountain breezes, the 2022 Barolo Gallinotto displays a slightly deeper ruby hue and added depth compared to the Classico. On the nose, it reveals pomegranate, purple wildflowers, and subtle spice. On the palate, it’s zesty and mouthwatering, with chiseled structure, saline lift, and some grip on the finish. Aged 18-20 months in a mix of large oak and barrique, there are roughly 9,820 bottles produced. Drink 2027-2040.
