The Marrone Barolo Bussia is a distinguished red wine from the renowned Piedmont region of Italy, specifically from the Barolo district. Known for its complex flavor profile, it features notes of dark cherries, roses, and earthy undertones, complemented by firm tannins and a lingering finish, typical of Nebbiolo grapes grown in this prestigious area.
This Barolo pairs elegantly with rich dishes such as braised meats, truffle-based recipes, and aged cheeses. It also enhances the flavors of mushroom risotto and grilled game, making it a versatile choice for a range of culinary experiences.
The Gian Piero Marrone 2016 Barolo Bussia pours out of the bottle with a light ruby color and a lean-bodied appearance. The wine offers a grounded, albeit not particularly intense bouquet with dark fruit, blackberry, plum, tar and camphor ash. The wine glides clean over the palate, and it offers a mid-weight performance with moderate power. A mere 3,340 bottles were made.
