The 2022 Zinfandel Angeli is compelling. Deep, layered and exquisitely beautiful, the Angeli screams with Zinfandel character. Even with all of its obvious intensity, the 2022 is not in any way overdone. Rather, it conveys a sense of old-school California that is so appealing. Dried herbs, gravel, tobacco, cedar and mint weave through a core of dark red Zinfandel fruit.
The 2022 Angeli Zinfandel is bursting with scents of graham cracker, briar berries, violet, wild thyme and slowly emerging foresty undertones. The full-bodied palate is packed to the brim with ripe, juicy berry fruit. It has a pleasant touch of chew to its tannins to support its generous fruit, and it has a long, gently warm finish. 900 cases produced.
