The 2022 La Victoriana Lomas de Valtuille, mainly Mencía with Trousseau, is reductive, showing herbal, minty and vegetal notes with pomegranate, elderberry and cherry hints. Fermented with whole clusters and aged in old barrels, the 2022 is broad with firm tannins and dark fruit tones. Compact yet rich (13.5%), it finishes long with hints of hay and layered complexity. Its tight profile conveys character and depth.
Even the 2022 La Vizcaína La Vitoriana shows the effect of the warm and dry year with a darker color and higher ripeness and alcohol. It has notes of dark cherries and plums. It's under 13% alcohol, but the sensation of the wine is of higher ripeness. It has a juicy and velvety palate with fine tannins. 10.000 bottles produced.
