Made with the addition of about one-quarter Malbec, the 2018 Collusion Cabernet Sauvignon was tasted as a barrel sample. Beginning with a bright and juicy nose with a dark-fruited essence of dusty cherry, black raspberry and sweet oak spices, the medium to full-bodied wine delivers pleasure in the glass. The palate is well built with a firm chassis and lifting tannins, with a juicy and dusty finish. I will reserve my drink date until the wine is officially released, but it should offer years of pleasurable drinking.
