Crafted from the best small lots of each vintage, fruit for this release is from the Confluence, Gowan Creek and Narrows vineyards, aged in 70% new French oak. Flamboyant aromas of vanilla-tinged black cherry, peony and rose florals, then a flashy notes of ripe black cherry, cola, rooibos tea, mint and red curry spice earthiness. This is no shy Pinot: the deep candied cherry and cinnamon-dusted redcurrant palate is supported by finely sculpted tannins, tangy acidity and vanilla-spiced cedar oak.
