The 2022 Grüner Veltliner Ried Renner grew in a mix of loess and alluvium and was fermented and matured in a large barrel. A touch of hay is all that appears on the nose, almost with an overtone of honey. On the slender, bright palate, the serene sense of cooling, peppery yeast appears and stays. This runs right through the wine, tingling, shimmering and sinking into deeper soil with its lovely, gentle texture that also carries just a touch of conifer.
