The Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is nearly more than the sum of its parts in 2022. Despite its appellation-wide status, the blend, assembled from declassified barrels in Ferren's single-vineyard program and made entirely from free-run juice, outperforms lesser producers’ single-vineyard wines. The 2022 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is pure and expressive. It bursts from the glass with intense aromas of wild cherry, pomegranate, mossy bark, damp earth, wildflower and bitters. The medium-bodied palate displays tremendous concentration and floods the senses with layers of fruit, earth and spice. It’s framed by luxurious, silky tannins and vibrant acidity, and it has a very long, powerful finish.
