Failla’s Fort Ross-Seaview is the farthest west estate vineyard on the Sonoma Coast. It sits just three miles from the Pacific, high on a dramatic Sonoma Coast ridgeline wrapped by fog and swept by wind. The vines struggle, and yields are constantly low, vintage after vintage. The 2023 shows a concentration of coastal flavours with lifted aromas of wild herbs, moss, and wet soils layered over macerated red berries, blood orange, and a hint of ocean spray salinity. The palate carries a savoury edge balanced by bright acidity and fine tannins.
