The 2017 Dry Riesling Reserve performed great the first time I saw it, with some quibbles. Let's check in. It's more developed now, the big fruit up front still giving it a feeling of subtle richness, but in a more nuanced fashion. It's not terribly expressive, but it still tastes great. It adds the structure to lift the fruit gently on the finish. There is reasonable tension, it shows good freshness and seems lively enough. Today, this is harmonious and drinking very well. It's not a tightly wound powerhouse, but it is easy to love. It was gorgeous the next day as well. It should hold pretty well for the rest of the decade, more or less. It drank well for several days. Whether it improves more—I have some doubts—is another issue.
