The E. Pira Chiara Boschis "Cannubi" Barolo 2022 showcases the rich flavor profile typical of the Barolo region, characterized by notes of dark cherry, rose petals, and earthy undertones, along with a well-structured tannin framework. Sourced from the esteemed Cannubi vineyard in Piedmont, this wine embodies the traditional craftsmanship and terroir of one of Italy's most renowned wine-producing areas.
For optimal enjoyment, allow the wine to breathe by decanting it for at least 30 minutes before serving. It pairs well with robust dishes like braised meats, truffles, and aged cheeses, making it a suitable choice for special occasions or a sophisticated dinner setting.
Deep and restrained with sleek elegance. Aromatic sweet violets are infused with orange zest, red currants and strawberries, slightly waxy and savory. The dense, full-bodied palate is crisp and firm yet velvety, showing subtle, concentrated fruit. Fresh and long with a thick finish, a bit sanguine and salty. Drinkable upon spring release but best from 2027. (AF)
