A precise, well-built and seductive rosé with aromas of forest berries, dried orange peel and fresh flowers on the nose. It’s medium-bodied with bright acidity. Attractive character on the palate, with texture and poise. It has plenty of verve and focus, with a long finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
Domaines Ott, the ‘grandfathers of Provençal rosé’, were the first to produce a ‘SuperProvence’ pink, made with grapes sourced from across their three estates in Bandol and Côtes de Provence. The idea was to capture the best of each terroir, which certainly comes across in this generous, multi-layered rosé. Think white peach and rose petal and on the nose combined with ripe strawberries in cream on the palate, a touch of fennel and flourish of liquorice. This is an accomplished, but approachable rosé.
