It showcases the region's distinctive terroir, characterized by rich, well-structured Gamay grapes that produce flavors of dark berries, plum, and subtle earthiness, complemented by floral notes and a hint of spice.
This wine pairs well with a variety of dishes, including roasted meats like duck or lamb, hearty stews, and aged cheeses. It also complements Mushroom risotto and dishes featuring rich sauces, enhancing the overall dining experience.

The 2013 Moulin-à-Vent Le Clos du Moulin underwent double sorting, was fully-de-stemmed with no carbonic maceration, and aged for 15 months in 10% new barrels, the remainder one-year old. I has a refined bouquet with pure dark cherries and blackcurrant notes, a touch of orange blossom in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy, ripe red berry fruit, well-judged acidity, and a silky smooth finish. This is very seductive, though the price is steep compared to its peers.
