A blend of 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre, the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape features scents of leather, earth and ripe cherries. It's full-bodied, supple and creamy in texture, yet it finishes with fresh, herbal notes (rosemary?) and mouthwatering fruit. It should drink well for 6-7 years.
