This Chardonnay is packaged in a golden-amber bottle with a Burgundian curve. Despite the dark color of the glass, the 2016 Langhe Chardonnay G.D. actually pours to a transparent, crystalline appearance. This is a medium-bodied white with lots of softness. It shows aromatic continuity with stone fruit, honey and preserved lemon. Pair it with a chicken breast grilled with Mediterranean herbs and served in a tarragon cream sauce. The wine was aged in tonneaux for six months. Some 5,000 bottles were made.
