CHIMNEY ROCK CABERNET SAUVIGNON GANYMEDE VINEYARD is a bold, full-bodied wine from the Stags Leap District of California. This Cabernet Sauvignon showcases a rich profile with notes of dark fruit, hints of oak, and fine tannins, characteristic of this renowned wine-growing region.
Ideal food pairings include grilled ribeye steak, lamb chops, and hearty pasta dishes with red sauce. For a cheese selection, try aged cheddar or blue cheese to complement the wine’s robust flavor.

Another brilliant wine is the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Ganymede Vineyard. This is the site of the oldest vines on Chimney Rock Estate and the vineyard planted in hillside benchlands. There is a wonderful sucrosity and richness to the inner core of this wine, which is a positive characteristic that bodes well for its future. The wine is still young, promising and probably needs another 3-5 years of bottle age. But this is a 25-year wine that is impressive for a 2014, given its front end-loaded character. This is a beauty of purity and richness that should drink well for at least 25 or more years.
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Ganymede Vineyard is an attractive ten-year-old wine. Black cherry, mocha, new leather, licorice and spice infuse the 2014 with quite a bit of nuance. The 100% new oak is evident, and yet all the elements are nicely balanced. All things considered, the has aged quite well.
