The Château Langoa Barton St. Julien is a distinguished red wine from the renowned Bordeaux region of France. This wine presents a classic flavor profile marked by rich dark fruit notes, subtle earthy undertones, and well-integrated tannins, characteristic of its terroir. Its balanced acidity and structure contribute to a harmonious palate, making it an excellent representation of St. Julien's esteemed winemaking tradition.
This wine pairs beautifully with grilled meats such as lamb or beef, hearty red sauces, and savory dishes including mushroom risotto or aged cheeses. Its versatility makes it a fitting choice for both casual meals and formal dining occasions.
The 2015 Langoa Barton has a classy bouquet with cedar- and tobacco-infused black fruit along with a little sous-bois that emerges with time. The palate is medium-bodied, taut and crisp, with pliant tannins and plenty of graphite toward the finish that is endowed with fine density and satisfying length. The 2015 is excellent. Tasted blind at the 2015 Bordeaux Ten-Year-On tasting at Farr Vintners.
Deep rich ruby in colour, this has a soft expression on the nose, layering redcurrant jelly and smoked oak. It has an enjoyably frank expression, a little less austere than some from St-Julien in this vintage, without sacrificing ageing ability. 60% new oak.
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Langoa Barton is scented of cedar and Marmite toast with black fruit and fertile earth notes. The medium-bodied palate is oaky with a good fruit core, fine-grained tannins and nice freshness on the finish.
