CHAMPAGNE PIERRE MONCUIT, BRUT ROSE is a delightful sparkling wine from the prestigious Champagne region of France. This wine features a nuanced flavor profile with notes of red berries, citrus, and a hint of floral elegance, delivering a refreshing and crisp finish.
Ideal for pairing with a variety of dishes, this Brut Rosé complements seafood, grilled chicken, and mild cheese. It also serves as a great accompaniment to fruit-based desserts and chocolate treats, enhancing the overall dining experience.
The NV (2013) Brut Rosé comes across as tightly wound and not fully expressive. Powerful, intense but also a bit compact, the Brut Rosé could use a bit of time to open up. Even so, I imagine it will always be somewhat austere. This is by far the most reticent wine I tasted from Moncuit this year. The Rosé is a blend of 75% Chardonnay from Le Mesnil sur Oger and 25% Pinot Noir from Ambonnay. Dosage is 8 grams per liter. Disgorged: February 2015.
