CHAMPAGNE LAHERTE FRÈRES, CHAMPAGNE BRUT ULTRADITION ROSÉ is a distinguished sparkling wine from the Champagne region of France. Known for its elegant balance, this rosé features vibrant notes of red berries complemented by subtle floral undertones, with a crisp acidity that enhances its fresh character.
This versatile champagne pairs excellently with a variety of culinary delights. It complements dishes such as grilled salmon, duck breast, and creamy cheeses, making it a delightful accompaniment for both formal dinners and casual gatherings.
The NV Brut Rosé Ultradition is gorgeous. Silky, nuanced and finely knit, the Ultradition offers an appealing combination of perfumed aromatics and silky fruit to match its delicate, understated personality. The Ultradition is the most approachable of the three Rosés in the range. Laherte sources old-vine fruit from seven different Pinot Noir and Meunier vineyards for the Ultradition. The wine is fermented and aged in oak, with partially blocked malolactic fermentation. Dosage is 7 grams per liter. Disgorged: September 2015.
The NV Brut Rose is a tightly-wound, powerful wine that emerges with an array of perfumed, mineral-infused red fruits. This sinewy, taut rose should drink beautifully, especially when paired with food, but it needs at least 6-12 months on the cork. No disgorgement date provided. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2015. These wines from Laherte Freres all come across as very tight, which leads me to think they may be from a recent disgorgement. Of course, there is no way for me or you to know that for sure given that the back labels provide no guidance on disgorgement dates. In any event, the wines are delicious today, but they should be even better with a few additional months on the cork. Importer: Pas Mal Selections, NY; tel. (201) 569-4132
