Slightly more serious, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc with the same barrel aging. This exhibits slightly more concentration and depth, but perhaps it’s just more sexy and open-knit compared to the 2013. Deep blackcurrant fruit intermixed with licorice, graphite and some underlying soil tones are all present in this medium to full-bodied wine to drink over the next 15 or so years.
