The 2012 Barolo Sorano shows ripe fruit with evident succulence and softness. The wine definitely delivers the power, grit and texture that is so typical of Serralunga d'Alba. There is ample roundness and softness as well. You get a salty mineral note on the close that makes your mouth salivate. I always look at this quality as a good sign for easy food pairings with meat dishes.
