This wine was produced in 2012, but the Giacosa family decided to skip over the very difficult 2013 (especially difficult for Barbera) vintage. The 2014 Barbera d'Alba Falletto is made with estate fruit and shows the power and heft of Serralunga d'Alba. This is a more structured expression with good depth and a generous offering of dark fruit flavors. The finish is marked by a crisp spot of balanced acidity.
