The 2020 Xtrème is 100% Tempranillo sourced from the Mantible Ecológico parcel in Finca Viña Lanciano, Rioja Alta. Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels, this dark garnet wine presents aromas of rosemary and thyme, accompanied by notes of blackberry, sour cherry, tapenade and hints of wild herbs. On the palate, it is dry and rich with reactive tannins contributing texture, resulting in a compact feel due to its chalky texture. This is a lively wine with a taut character.
