Expert Reviews
Bright garnet hue and a lively aroma of brambles layered with smoky oak. Vivid flavours: spicy, with red fruits, piquant acidity and textured tannins. Oak influence shows on the palate, but it is well balanced and there's a firm grip on the finish. This was the vintage when frost hit Europe on 27 April, but this vineyard was protected by its closeness to the Ebro river. No new oak, but spent 12 months in Tronçais French oak and eight months in Caucasus oak, then 18 months in bottle.
