This historic site on Mt. Eden dates back to the early 1940s, with the head-trained vines that go into this bottling planted in 1979. The 2022 Pinot Noir Peter Martin Ray Vineyard is muted at first, and then the nose unfurls with aromas of red berries, hibiscus, lavender and pine sap. Sleek and direct on the palate, this light to medium-bodied expression drinks beautifully young and should develop complexity over the next few years.
