ARNALDO RIVERA Barolo Ravera is a distinguished red wine from the renowned Barolo region in Piedmont, Italy. This wine showcases a complex flavor profile characterized by rich notes of dark cherry, plum, and subtle floral undertones, complemented by earthy nuances and fine tannins, typical of Nebbiolo varietals.
Ideal food pairings for Barolo Ravera include hearty dishes such as braised meats, rich pasta with robust sauces, and aged cheeses. It also complements truffle-infused dishes, enhancing the wine's earthy characteristics.
One of the freshest crus of Barolo is highlighted by aromas of rhubarb, dried cherries and cinnamon. Dense, with a medium to full body and refreshing high acidity. The well-integrated, dusty tannins are a bit austere in the finish. Best after four to five years.
Inky brick red, the 2020 Barolo Ravera is brooding with notes of licorice, dried black cherries, mossy forest floor, and pine sap. Full-bodied and grippy, it’s broad-shouldered, with chewy tannins, though it offers some freshness that’s even throughout. I would allow it another couple of years and drink 2026-2040.
