The lemon-yellow colored 2019 Ried Liebenberg Dürnstein Riesling Smaragd opens with concentrated, coolish, fresh and stony apricot and white peach aromas. It is round and lush on the palate, with a concentrated and rich, almost creamy texture but also stimulating, vivacious mineral acidity. This is a quite baroque Liebenberg with raisin aromas, fine phenolic bitters and fine tannins on the finish. A hedonistic Liebenberg that should be cellared for for 5-10 years. 13% alcohol. Tasted at the domain in June 2021.
